How do I Get Started?


Before beginning an application, you may find it helpful to meet with any or all of the following people:

  • Academic Adviser
  • College Coordinator (if your college has a study abroad office)
  • Program Director (of the program that interests you)
  • Study Abroad Center Adviser (281 Parks Library)

In addition, you can attend general information sessions offered by your college study abroad office or the Study Abroad Center. All these activities will help you determine the program that best suits your needs and desires. Once you have determined the program to which you would like to apply, click on the "Programs" link on the top of the page to find the program. Then, click on the "Apply Now" button near the top of the page. ISU students will then enter their ISU Net-ID login and password. (Make sure you answer "Yes" when the system asks you if you are a registered user at Iowa State with ISU Net-ID login credentials.) 

The application will prompt you to select the term for which you are applying. After you arrive at your application home page, you will have several areas to complete:
