UROP at RWTH Aachen

A 10 week Summer Undergraduate Research Program in Germany!
UROP International at RWTH Aachen runs mid-May to mid-July and consists of 3 components:
1. Intensive German course (no previous German language required) and workshops on intercultural learning, scientific methods, and research practice to prepare participants for their respective research projects - 2 weeks.
2. Research project at one of RWTH Aachen's research institutes or labs - 8 weeks.
3. Activities to explore German history, culture, and meet German and international students at RWTH Aachen.

Participants will enroll in 6 credits of study during the summer at Iowa State and will receive transfer credit in engineering and language course.  Please work with your academic adviser to discuss how the engineering course fits in your major.  The College of Engineering provides automatic scholarships for the tuition of these credits to students accepted in Aachen.

    • 8 weeks research
  • No previous German language required

Once nominated for this program you will have an opportunity to prioritize your top two desired research projects for your internship.
