A Semester in Rome, Italy (John Cabot University)

John Cabot University is an American university in the heart of Rome. It offers a wide range of courses in many different majors. There are over 3,500 students with roughly half being study abroad students and half degree-seeking students.
 

Location

 

John Cabot University is located within the historic center of Rome in the Trastevere neighborhood. Watch the video below to get a sense of how amazing Rome is!

Explore the Colosseum and Forum on a sunny afternoon. Walk by the Spanish Steps or Trevi Fountain after class. Have the most amazing pizza, pasta, and gelato of your life. Spend your three-day weekends (no Friday classes at JCU!) exploring all Italy has to offer: Florence, Venice, Milan, Cinqueterre, the Amalfi Coast, the ruins of Pompei. 

 

 

 

Academics

ItalyAll courses are taught in English. JCU has a comprehensive curriculum with offerings in Business (Management, Marketing, Economics, Entrepreneurship, International Business, and Finance), Communications, English, Literature, History, International Studies, Political Science, Psychology, Mathematics, Sciences, Social Sciences, Theater, and Art History.

Accommodation

ItalyFurnished student apartments are available and include kitchens and washing machines. Single bedrooms may be available at an additional cost.

ItalyThe JCU semesters line up well with Iowa State with Fall between late August and mid-December and Spring between mid-January and mid-May. The academic calendar can be found here.

Summer Programs:
