Notes:
There is an additional $350 fee will be charged on Ubill to students who are either: 1. Enrolled in an internship; 2. Registered to take BIO 394 (with the choice of taking either a Biology lab or field work); 3. Registered to take 9 credits (3 classes). *Note: Students will never be charged $350 more than once (example: taking Biology and 9 credits).

The ISU on the Mediterranean program offers transfer credit and, as such, students do not pay ISU tuition in addition to the program fee unless they are enrolled in courses for ISU credit.   ECON 353, IE 305, MGMT 370** , and MKT 448** carry ISU tuition and fees, and grant ISU credit. NOTE: Students taking ECON 353, IE 305, MGMT 370**, MKT 448** will be charged ISU tuition according to their class status (in-state/out-of-state, international, see the following website for more detailed information: http://www.registrar.iastate.edu/fees/). **The College of Business will help offset tuition and fees for MGMT 370 and MKT 448 by awarding $1,000 scholarships to students enrolled either of these courses.** Students enrolled in one or more ISU courses abroad (ECON 353, IE 305, MGMT 370, MKT 448) will be charged a billable administrative fee of $105. 

Program Fee Includes: home stay with a Spanish family (with another ISU student or alone, by request),  CISI international health insurance, University of Valencia instruction (transfer credit), class space, and management; 3-day guided tour of Madrid; 2-day guided tour of Toledo, El Escorial, Segovia; roundtrip bus transportation from Madrid to Valencia and on all excursions; museum and historical site visits; pre-departure sessions and materials. Activities organized by the university also available including cooking, dance and water sports such as sailing, snorkeling, windsurfing, etc. Qualified refers to the amount eligible for tuition and fees for tax reporting purposes for those taking 6 credits. For 9 credits, the Qualified amount is $2,100.00 USD.

Additional Expenses: airfare, some books, and spending money. Optional activities provided by the University of Valencia.

Students from other universities are welcome to apply. There is no longer an external fee assessed to participate.
