Notes:
The Program Fee for 2023 is estimated at $3855. Internships (in English or Spanish), Biology lab or fieldwork, or taking additional 3 credits incurs a $350 fee. Students will not be charged $350 more than once (example: taking Biology + 6 additional credits). 

Courses with ISU Credit: Any course with ISU credit taught by ISU faculty carries ISU tuition and fees in addition to the program fee. Students taking coursework for ISU credit will be charged ISU tuition according to their class status (in-state/out-of-state, international, see the following website for more detailed information: http://www.registrar.iastate.edu/fees). 
  • *The Ivy College of Business will help offset tuition and fees for ENTSP/MGMT 310 and MGMT 372 by awarding $1,000 scholarships to Ivy CoB students enrolled in one of these courses.

Program Fee Includes: home stay with a Spanish family (with another ISU student) and full room and board, University of Valencia instruction (6 transfer credits), class space, and management; full medical insurance; 3-day guided tour of Madrid; 3-day guided tour of Toledo, Segovia; roundtrip bus transportation from Madrid to Valencia and on all guided excursions; museum and historical site visits; visit to the City of Arts & Sciences; Valencia city walking tour; pre-departure sessions and materials; Madrid airport shuttle pick-up and drop-off with ISU faculty. Optional activities organized by program affiliates include cooking, dance, sailing, snorkeling, windsurfing, etc.

Additional Expenses: airfare, some books, train/metro pass, and spending money. Optional activities provided by affiliates.

Students from other universities are welcome to apply. There is no longer an external fee assessed to participate.

* Billable item
