Program fee includes on-site transportation, entrance fees, lodging, and breakfast each day. International insurance will appear as a separate line on student's Ubill and will provide coverage during the entire program. Students arrange their own airfare.
Incidentals, books and supplies, airfare and meals are estimates and will not be included on the U-bill. Some expenses need to be paid in Italy as you go, so should be budgeted individually.
If you already have a passport, you can ignore the Passport and Mailing costs. These are provided to the Office of Financial Aid for purposes of adjusting your aid so we try to estimate to make sure you have sufficient funds. The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers passport reimbursement for first-time travelers who have majors in LAS. Please see instructions at https://abroad.las.iastate.edu/scholarships/
NOTE: For Summer 2022, all participants will receive a $750 tuition award from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (Tuition fee assessment will be based on the student's major). This will appear as a tuition credit on your U-bill.
