University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna
"BOKU" is the shortened German language version of the university

Location: Vienna, Austria – in the Heart of Europe

BOKU has approximately 10,000 students, provides courses at the bachelor, masters and doctoral levels; and approximately 1,500 permanent teaching and administration and services staff.

Majors of ISU students who have studied at BOKU:
Agronomy, Environmental Science, Global Resource Systems, Agriculture Business, Animal Ecology, International Agriculture, and Microbiology.  

Choose to study in the fields of:
Landscape Design and Landscape Planning
Water Management
Environment and Bio-Resources Management
Food Chemistry and Biotechnology
Forestry and Wood Sciences
Agricultural Sciences
Natural Resources Management and Ecological Engineering

Credit: Exchange Program Credit, must be a full time student (take at least the equivalent of 12 ISU credits per semester)

Requirements: 3.0 GPA (set up a meeting with Mr. Jodi Cornell if you are interested in hearing more about this program: jcornell@iastate.edu )

Instruction: Courses taught in English and German; the courses taught in English are Masters level courses - these courses are suitable for upper-level undgergraduate students with a very good academic record.

Cost: ISU Tuition and Fees (billed by Iowa State); Out of Pocket expenses: Housing, Food, Travel Costs, CISI medical and emergency insurance, etc. (click on "Budget Sheet" above for more details)

Housing: Arranged through an organization in Vienna, Austria: residence halls with local students, apartments with local students
