Program Description:

IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY
COLLEGE OF DESIGN

As part of a multidisciplinary option studio (Dsn S 546) professors Andrea Quam, Mike Ford and Pete Evans will travel with students to Rome, Italy. We will be coordinating with ISU Rome faculty member Simone Bove to study museum exhibition design in Rome. Students and faculty will tour existing museum exhibits, meet with Italian exhibition designers, and consult with curators who will act as a 'client'. Students will be creating a design proposal for an exhibit in an Italian museum. Students in interdisciplinary teams will be creating a comprehensive design proposal that will be critiqued at midterm and the final critique by professionals, Italian faculty and contacts
