Program Description:
BREXIT in the UK: Political Implications
Edinburgh over spring break

Course: POL S 397, 1 credit; concurrent course in British Politics during Spring 2018 semester

The vote for Great Britain to leave the European Union in June 2016 has left many questions. The perspective of Scotland as part of the United Kingdom (who voted to stay) and renewed nationalism will be discusses and the opportunity to visit the seat of government and talk to political leaders as well as Scottish citizens offers a unique opportunity for you as a student.

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland 

Term: March 9 - 18, 2018

During this one-week, one-credit program, students will:

Compare and contrast attitudes in Scotland—especially in light of the Brexit vote.

Learn about Scottish Parliament.

Experience the castles, charm, and culture of this unique region.

Scholarships are available from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for primary or secondary majors.

Who is eligible? Undergraduate and graduate students from all majors and colleges are welcome. There are no prerequisites.
