LAS 491C: International Service-Learning
Learn about development policy and human rights efforts on the ground through the work of community-based organizations and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Partner with local Tanzanians in women's advocacy groups, water harvesting efforts and improved agricultural techniques.
Support teachers in a local secondary school with train the trainer workshops.

Live in a rural environment; visit urban areas as well as a game park in neighboring Rwanda.

Who is eligible? Undergraduate and graduate students from any major or college. There are NO prerequisites and no language required. (Beginning Swahili is part of pre-departure.)
