On CIEE's Business, Economics, and Culture program, you can develop your Spanish language skills while furthering your studies in your field of expertise. You’ll have plenty of adventures outside of class participating in excursions that are off the tourist track. Madrid is a large European city with a safe and walkable downtown business district, a good transportation system, nice climate, and a vibrant cultural scene with festivals and concerts throughout the year. Madrid also tends to be more affordable location than other major European capitals.
Study abroad in Madrid and you’ll:
Participate in day and weekend trips to other Spanish cities where you will have the opportunity to learn about regional economies, as well as about Spanish cultural diversity
Be able to evaluate and compare some of the distinct elements of regional diversity within Spain
Will be able to describe, interpret, and analyze trends in the Spanish business world using appropriate terms, and formulate thoughtful comparisons between different company case studies analyzed
