Program Description:
This program is scheduled to travel again in Summer 2018

The total cost per person is based on a minimum of 10 people. (Estimated at $2,000 program fee. Does not include summer tuition and fees. $625 automatic tuition award for each student.)
It includes the following: Land transportation, all meals, lodging, tours, national parks entrance fee, bilingual guide, and taxes.

Day 1 July 2
Arrive at Juan Santa Maria Airport, overnight at Hotel Aeropuerto

Day 2 July 3

Travel to El Zota (About 4 hours of travel)
Dinner at El Zota
Introduction to El Zota (short history of El Zota & Safety lecture)
El Zota is a rain forest biological field station and it’s located in the northeast part of Costa Rica in Limon province.
About 2000 acres of low land rain forest makes of El Zota a great home for many species and an amazing living classroom for students from all over.

Day 3 - July 4th to Day 23 - July 24

El Zota Field Station
Lodging and meals at El Zota
Day 24 – July 25
Travel to Gandoca (About 5 Hours), stopping for lunch on the way, dinner and lodging at Gandoca
Day 25 – July 26 to Day 27 - July 28
sea turtle hike, laguna tour, beach clean-up, reforestation, monkey surveys
Day 28 - July 29
Bribri reservation (indigenous culture day)
BriBri Medicinal Plants Hike and Cacao Tour

Day 29 – July 30

Travel to San Jose (about 5 hours of travel)
Lodging at Hotel Don Carlos 
Located in the oldest historical section of San José, the ‘Four Star’ Hotel Don Carlos is a small, but significant part of Costa Rica’s rich heritage. Once upon a time residence for two past Presidential families, the historical Hotel Don Carlos’ warmth and charm, graciously awaits you. Enjoy Costa Rica’s finest art works as you stroll through the gallery-like corridors and maze of quiet, garden & fountain settings, restaurant, and mini pool.
