Program Features

ItalyWhy Italy?

Spend a month of your summer experiencing Italy! Focused on the rich culture and history of the country, you'll have the opportunity to explore the country first-hand through a visit to Tuscania. Return prepared and motivated to succeed in college and the professional world. Study Abroad Shorts programs are focused on building key skills that you will need in your college career and in your professional career following graduation.

This program provides an opportunity to experience one of Iowa State University's locations for ISU Semester in Italy and ISU Summer in Italy programs. You will have the opportunity to hear guest lectures from professors at ISU's partner institution, Lorenzo de' Medici. For Freshmen and Sophomores, Study Abroad Shorts programs serve as an introduction to study abroad where you can test the waters early in your academic program. Based in the small hill town of Tuscania, you will experience Italy at its best. The program is 4 weeks long in early summer with weekend activities and travel with other students, including guided visits to major sites in Rome and Florence.
