BU offers free double room on-campus accommodations to incoming exchange students on a first come, first served basis. If the free accommodations are full, a double room costs approximately $1,500 for the semester (depending on the exchange rate). Exchange students who wish to have a single room would pay the difference in cost between a single and a double room. These additional cost are not reflected in the budget sheet above.
A visa is required for this program and the cost listed includes the cost of the visa itself ($20 obtained while still in the US) and the cost of the residency permit ($100 obtained once in Turkey). A personal appearance is required at the Chicago Consulate to obtain the education visa and the cost of that trip is included in the incidentals line of the budget sheet above.
This budget was issued on 3/8/13 and is subject to change.
