Southeast University Exchange (Architecture only)

Overview

The Deparment of Architecture in the College of Design and Southeast University's School of Architecture participate in a reciprocal exchange agreement. Architecture students in their fourth year of the undergraduate program can study at SEU during the spring semester. The program seeks to broaden the scope of the academic curriculum and to provide a unique learning experience for students in an overseas environment, as well as to promote cooperation between the two institutions.  This program is limited to two ISU students per year.

Additional information about Southeast University is available here.

Academic Year

The semester dates at SEU are different than at ISU. The spring semester traditionally starts later at SEU than at ISU.

Specific dates for each semester will be listed in the Dates/Deadlines box toward the top of this brochure after they have been announced.

Program Prerequisites and Criteria for Participant Selection

Participants in all College of Design international programs must meet the following requirements:

• At least 18 years of age
• Accepted into departmental program of study
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Clear academic record including no status of academic warning or probation in the semester prior to or the semester of international program participation

In addition, the following requirements apply to the Southeast University exchange program:

The College of Design may check a participant's current GPA and/or academic status at any time. Failure to maintain the required GPA or the failure to maintain a clear academic record may affect participation in an international program.
