Transcripts issued by Veritas University.
Homestay accommodations in San José with a Costa Rican family include Internet access. To help you get a true taste of Costa Rican culture, the AIFS team in San José arranges a variety of cultural and social activities such as a tour of the National Theater, walking tours and a visit to indoor markets to learn about Costa Rican food and produce. An optional 3-day excursion to Manuel Antonio National Park is also available.
AIFS is recognized as a premier provider of study abroad programs. Program fees cover tuition and housing, with scholarship funding available. A meal plan, tours and excursions, insurance and 24-hour emergency service are also included. Coordinated AIFS Flight Packages are also available.
PLEASE BE AWARE that not all short-term programs through AIFS have been approved for transfer credit. Check with your academic advisor to determine whether the credits will transfer, and check with AIFS to make sure that the credits will be issued on a transcript from the overseas institution (not a "school of record"). If you are not earning academic credit, you will not be eligible for financial aid from ISU. If you opt for ISU independent study credit, you will be paying both the AIFS program costs as well as ISU tuition and fees for the number of credits you'll earn.
