Academic Program

Founded in 1883, Cardiff University is a research
institution located in the capital of Wales.
It is a world ranked instituton, and recognized as

the strongest research institution in Wales.
Cardiff University's campus is located in the city center,
surround by historical buildings and museums,
as well as the headquarters for the Welsh government.
The university has 26 academic colleges on
campus, offering a variety of degrees. There are a
little over 20,000 undergraduate students,
with 17% of this number being international students.
The Engineering Department has
several degrees available, including Architectural, Civil,
Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering.

Cardiff
- The capital of Wales, Cardiff is located in
   Southern Wales along the coast. 
- As the largest city in Wales, there are
   over 850,000 people in the urban area
- Cardiff is regarded as the heart of Welsh culture,
   politics, media, and sport.
- With a history dating back almost 1,000 years,
   there are plenty of interesting sites to visit
   including the medieval Cardiff Castle.
- Cardiff is one of the UK's top tourist destination,
   with great shopping and concert/sport venues
- Other destinations within the UK are easily
   accessable by train including London,
   Edinbourgh, Manchester, and Liverpool.
