Program Description:

Join us on the Group Study Abroad Program

Summer in China at Zhejiang University!

  • EM 274 Substitution (Statics) - 3 credits  or
  • EM 324 Substitution (Mechanics of Materials) - 3 credit
  • Introduction to Chinese Culture & History - 3 credits

Prerequisites: 18 years old; successful completion of Math 166 and Physics 111 (or Phys 221) or equivalent; and participation in the pre-trip meetings second half of the spring 2017 semester; 2.5 min GPA.  Students wishing to take EM 324 need to have successfully completed EM 274.


Program fee:  $1500* (includes: Tuition, Visa, Housing)
Estimated roundtrip airfare: $1700

* 2016 rate - subject to change for 2017 based on 15 participants - encourage your friends to apply; the program fee could be reduced if more students are selected!

 
Location:  Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. Located near Shangai, Hangzhou is said to be one of the most beatiful cities in China due to its natural scenery. Sights and things to do around the city include boat rides around the West Lake, visiting various temples throughout the city, seeing a Yue Opera performance, and enjoying the local Dragon Well tea.
