Billable subtotal costs will be processed through your ISU U-Bill. 

Non-billable subtotal are estimated expenses that you will pay directly, out of pocket. These costs may vary depending on currency exchange rate and other factors.

Accommodation costs are based on the standard self-catering option at James Owen Court at the University of Exeter which costs 3600 GBP for the whole semester. The dollar amount above assumes an exchange rate of 1.29. 

Some examples of items in Anticipated Personal Expenses: SIM card and phone data plan, laundry, toiletries, entertainment, taxi/Uber rides. Personal trips to other cities or countries during weekends or breaks are not included in Anticipated Personal Expenses. To give you an idea, students can choose to spend anywhere from $1,000-$3,000 or more on additional travel while abroad. 

For US Passport holders, a visa is only required if you plan to stay more than 6 months, work, volunteer, or intern during your study abroad program.  A visa will cost approximately $500.  If you hold a passport from another country, please consult with the program coordinator, Ben McKelfresh (email address above), to determine if a visa is required.

If a student withdraws after committing to a program, there could be withdrawal fees.
