Billable subtotal costs will be processed through your ISU U-Bill. 

Non-billable subtotal are estimated expenses that you will pay directly, out of pocket. These costs may vary depending on currency exchange rate and other factors.

Some examples of items in Anticipated Personal Expenses: SIM card and phone data plan, laundry, toiletries, entertainment, taxi/Uber rides. Personal trips to other cities or countries during weekends or breaks are not included in Anticipated Personal Expenses. To give you an idea, students can choose to spend anywhere from $1,000-$3,000 or more on additional travel while abroad. 

Visa: Students holding a US passport will not need a visa to study at Edinburgh for one semester unless they intend to work, intern, or volunteer. Visas for staying more than 6 months, working, interning, or volunteering cost approx. $500 in total fees. If you are not a US passport holder or may need a visa due to staying more than 6 months, working, interning, or volunteering, please email Ben McKelfresh (email address above). 

If a student withdraws after committing to a program, there could be withdrawal fees.
